Create and manage projects

The project selector lets you create a project, open earlier work, change a project name, or delete a project.

Create a project

1. Select the current project name at the top of the left sidebar.
2. Select New project.
3. Enter a name in Name.
4. Select Create.

Atlas opens the new project when it is ready.

If Atlas cannot create the project, the dialog stays open and shows Failed to create project. Please refresh and try again. Refresh Atlas, then try again.

Open another project

1. Select the current project name.
2. Find the project in Projects. Use Search projects if the list is long.
3. Select the project card.

Atlas labels the open project Current. Other project cards show when you last accessed them.

Atlas saves note changes before switching. If it shows Resolve unsaved note changes before switching projects, return to the note and resolve the conflict before trying again.

Rename a project

1. Open Projects.
2. Open Project options for the project.
3. Select Rename.
4. Enter the new name, then press Enter or select outside the field.

Delete a project

1. Open Projects.
2. Open Project options for the project.
3. Select Delete.
4. Read the Delete Project? confirmation.
5. Select Delete to continue, or Cancel to keep the project.

The confirmation states that deletion cannot be undone and permanently deletes the project and all its sources.
