Resume recent research
Open the project you were using. Atlas can then restore that project's recent workspace in the same browser.
Open a recent project
- Select the current project name at the top of the left sidebar.
- Find the project in Projects. The current project appears first. The other cards show when you last accessed them.
- Select the project card.
Use Search projects if you remember the project name but do not see it in the list.
What Atlas can restore in this browser
Atlas stores a workspace snapshot for each recently opened project in the browser. The snapshot can include:
- Open tabs in the main and right panels
- The active tab in each panel
- Whether the left and right panels were open
- Panel widths
- Whether the project map was visible
Sources, notes, and chats remain project data. The arrangement of those items on screen is browser-local and may differ on another browser or device.
If the workspace looks different
Atlas opens its default workspace when it cannot use a saved snapshot. It also leaves out tabs for items that were deleted after the snapshot was saved.
Open the item again from the left sidebar. If you do not remember its folder or exact location, use Find research in a project.
