What this page covers

Create folders. rename, move, drag, and delete folders, sources, notes, and chats. state destructive effects and recovery boundaries.

Create and use folders

Open the Sources or Notes area and use its new-folder control. Name the folder for a stable topic or workflow. Drag a supported source or note onto the folder, or use the item's move action when available.

Rename or move an item

Open the item menu for a source, note, chat, or folder. Choose the rename or move action shown for that item. Confirm the item appears in the intended folder before continuing.

Delete safely

Select the item's delete action and verify the name in the confirmation. Item deletion is permanent. Deleting a folder preserves its supported contents by moving them to its parent or the project root. Deleting the items themselves does not.
