Edit, export, and manage a knowledge map

Knowledge maps are editable canvases. Changes to the map are saved separately from the source or note used to create it.

Edit the canvas

Select a node or group to move, resize, recolor, or edit it.
Select more than one node to use Create Group or Delete Selection.
Drag from a node handle to create a connection.
Select an edge to edit its label or delete it.
Use the standard undo shortcut to undo the latest canvas change.

The full map shows Saved after Atlas stores a change. If it shows Unsaved or Offline, keep the map open until the connection returns and the next save succeeds.

When you ask the Atlas agent to edit a map, Atlas validates the complete result and saves it immediately. If the map changed after the agent read it, the edit does not overwrite the newer map. Ask the agent to read the map again and retry the requested change.

Download the map

Frame the map at the scale you want in the image.
Select Download.
Select Download PNG, Download JPG, or Download SVG.

Atlas downloads the full map canvas in the selected format.

Delete part of a map

Select the nodes, groups, or edges you want to remove.
Select Delete Selection.
Wait for Saved.

Use undo immediately if you remove the wrong selection.

Delete the complete map

Select More knowledge map options.
Select Delete.
In Delete knowledge map?, select Delete.

This permanently deletes the knowledge map for the current source or note. The confirmation cannot be undone. Select Cancel to keep the map.
