Start with the visible symptom. Preserve the source or note that the map depends on, then retry only after the underlying state is ready.

The map does not generate

Confirm that the selected item exists, contains usable text, and has finished processing. Wait for an active generation to finish. If generation reports a failure, retry once. Do not create duplicate map items while a request is still running.

The map is empty or weak

Open the source or note and confirm it contains enough specific concepts and relationships. A short or image-only item can produce sparse output. Improve the source text or choose a better-scoped item.

Editing or export fails

Resolve any pending agent edit review before starting another edit. Reopen the map before retrying an export. If the canvas reports no nodes, regenerate from the source rather than exporting an empty map.

The semantic map does not load

Confirm that the project contains processed material. Reload the project once. If the problem remains, contact support with the project name and visible error.
