Accessibility and keyboard access
Atlas includes keyboard controls and accessible names in parts of the web app. Atlas has not completed a named browser and screen-reader test matrix, and this page does not claim conformance with a particular accessibility standard.
Semantic map keyboard controls
Focus the Semantic map region, then use these controls:

| Arrow keys | Pan the map. |
| Shift+Arrow keys | Orbit the map. |
| Plus or minus | Zoom. |
| Home | Fit the map. |
| Escape | Clear the current transient selection. |
The map also provides a keyboard-focusable Semantic map items list when map items are interactive.
Reduced motion
Atlas responds to the system prefers-reduced-motion setting in the semantic map and parts of the interface. Reduced motion has not been verified across every animation or client surface.
Areas that still need testing
Atlas still needs task-specific keyboard and screen-reader testing for:
- Rich-text note editing and conflict recovery
- PDF reading and citation navigation
- Knowledge-map and semantic-map editing
- Moving sources, notes, and folders by drag and drop
- Responsive navigation and focus order
Report an inaccessible workflow
When you contact support, include the page or feature, the action you were trying to complete, the browser, and the keyboard or assistive technology you used. Name the control or step where Atlas stopped responding.
