Accessibility and keyboard access
Atlas supports keyboard operation and labeled controls across its main web surfaces, but complex canvases and third-party document viewers can require additional navigation.
What this page covers
Supported keyboard navigation, focus behavior, screen-reader labels, motion and contrast behavior, and known accessibility limitations.
Keyboard access
Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move through interactive controls. Use Enter or Space to activate the focused control. Use Escape to close supported dialogs and menus. A visible focus indicator shows the current target.
Use the command palette and documented shortcuts for faster navigation. Shortcut availability can differ by operating system and focused editor.
Assistive technology boundaries
Atlas provides semantic labels for standard controls and respects the application's theme and focus states. Map canvases, rich-text editing, PDF rendering, and drag-and-drop can have limited screen-reader or keyboard equivalents. Use item menus instead of drag-and-drop where possible. Contact support when a required action has no accessible path.
