Add a YouTube video
Atlas uses a YouTube video's transcript as the source text. Add the video URL, then open the source to check what the transcript contains.
Add a YouTube video to a project
- Open the project where you want the video.
- Select Add a source.
- Find Add a URL.
- Paste the URL for a YouTube video.
- Press Enter or select the arrow button.
- Open the source after Atlas adds it.
Atlas reports Transcript unavailable when the video has no transcript it can import.
Check the transcript before relying on the source
Check that the transcript covers the part of the video you want to study. Names, numbers, and technical terms can differ from what the speaker said, especially when captions were generated automatically.
Slides, demonstrations, and other visual details are not part of the transcript. Use another source when your question depends on content that appears only in the video image.
Recover from a YouTube import problem
