Data, privacy, security, and retention

The Atlas Privacy Policy is the legal source for how Atlas collects, uses, shares, and retains information. This page connects that policy to the privacy actions available in the product.

What the public policy covers

The Privacy Policy describes:

• Account information
• Sources, notes, chats, and other user content
• Support communications
• Product and usage data
• Service providers and other sharing situations
• Retention and privacy rights

Read the current policy for the terms that apply to a legal or regional privacy request.

Delete an Atlas account

Settings → Account contains the self-service account-deletion path. The deletion dialog states that it permanently deletes the account and its projects, notes, sources, and chats.

See Delete your account for the exact controls and warning. Canceling a subscription does not delete the account.

Make another privacy request

Use the contact method in the Privacy Policy for a request that is not available in Atlas, including access, correction, portability, objection, consent, or a question about legal retention.

Include the Atlas account email and describe the request. Never send a password, access token, or full payment-card number.

What this documentation does not claim

Atlas has not published a verified fixed deletion timeline, backup-deletion schedule, processor-by-processor retention table, security certification, or self-service export format in these product docs. Use the current Privacy Policy and the privacy contact for those questions.
