Settings and personalization
Settings contains profile and appearance options under General, and response preferences under Personalization.
On mobile, tap the floating Settings icon at the bottom-left of the menu. The drawer opens at 80% height. Drag its top handle up to expand it to full-screen, or down to shrink or close it. It shows your profile photo and name, followed by General, Personalization, Billing, and Account. Select a section to open it.
Change general settings
- Open Settings.
- Select General.
- Change Full name, What should Atlas call you?, or What best describes your work?.
- Select Save changes, or Save in the top-right corner on mobile.
Atlas shows Saved after it saves the profile. Full name and What best describes your work? are required.
If Appearance is available, choose the theme you want. The theme changes how Atlas appears in the current browser.
Set Instructions for Atlas and Language
- Open Settings.
- Select Personalization.
- Enter your response preferences in Instructions for Atlas.
- Choose a response language in Language, or leave it set to Automatic.
- Select Save changes, or Save in the top-right corner on mobile.
Atlas applies the saved preferences to new chat requests.
If a setting does not save
Save changes (Save on mobile) becomes available after you make a valid change. The counter below Instructions for Atlas shows how much text remains.
If Settings cannot load, select Retry. If a save fails, check the fields for an error and try again. Wait for Saved before closing Settings.
On mobile, Back returns to the settings overview and keeps your edits. Closing Settings with unsaved edits asks Discard changes? Select Keep editing to retain them or Discard to close without saving. Settings cannot close while a save is in progress. Theme changes apply immediately.
