Synthesize multiple sources

Atlas can compare several sources in the same project. Name the sources, ask a focused comparison question, and check the citations for each conclusion.

Choose the sources

1. Open the project that contains the sources.
2. Start a chat or open an existing chat.
3. In Ask a question, type @ and select each source you want to compare.

If a source does not appear, confirm that it is in the current project and has finished processing.

Ask for a structured comparison

Enter a question that states what you want to compare. For example:

Compare the methods in these sources. Use one row for each source and include its method, main result, limitation, and supporting citation.

Select Send. If the first answer is too broad, ask a follow-up about one point of agreement, disagreement, method, or limitation.

Check each conclusion

Open the citation for each conclusion that matters to your research. Check that the citation opens the expected source and that the surrounding material supports the comparison.

If Atlas combines several sources into a conclusion that is difficult to trace, ask it to separate the contribution from each source. Save the useful comparison in a note after you have checked it.
