Use mentions in chat and notes

Type @ to refer to a specific item in the current project. You can use mentions in a chat question or while writing a note.

Add a mention in chat

1. Place the cursor in Ask a question where you want the mention.
2. Type @ and begin entering the item name.
3. Select the item from the list.
4. Finish your question, then select Send.

For example, ask: How does @Source A explain this result?

Add a mention in a note

1. Place the cursor in the note.
2. Type @ and begin entering the item name.
3. Select the item from the list.

The mention keeps a link to that project item in the note.

What you can mention

The picker can include sources, notes, chats, and source or note folders from the current project. In chat, a folder mention scopes the request to items inside that folder.

Mentions identify the material you mean. Atlas still searches and reads the relevant content when it prepares an answer.

If an item is missing

Check that the item is in the current project and search for its current name. A source that is still processing can appear before its content is ready to use.

To remove a mention before sending, place the cursor beside it and delete it as you would other text.
