Manage billing

Atlas uses the billing portal for subscription and payment changes. Use the in-product account flow so the portal opens for the correct Atlas account.

Open billing settings

  1. Sign in to the Atlas account that owns the subscription.
  2. Open account settings.
  3. Choose the billing or subscription option.
  4. Continue to the billing portal.
  5. Complete the change there, then return to Atlas.

If you are part of more than one account or workspace, confirm the account email before changing anything. Billing changes only apply to the subscription attached to that account.

Common billing tasks

Update payment details

Open the billing portal and choose the payment method section. Add the replacement card or payment method, set it as the default if prompted, and save the change before closing the portal.

Change plan

Choose the plan change option in the portal. Review the effective date, price, and any prorated amount before confirming.

After the portal confirms the change, reload Atlas and check whether the account shows the expected plan.

View invoices

Open the invoice or billing history section in the portal. Use the invoice list there for receipts, tax documents, and payment status.

Cancel subscription

Use the cancellation option in the portal. Read the cancellation timing carefully: some subscriptions remain active until the end of the paid period, while failed or expired billing states may behave differently.

Before canceling, export or copy important work you need outside Atlas if the product currently offers an export path for that material.

If Atlas still shows the old plan

Billing updates can take a short time to appear in the app. Refresh Atlas, sign out and back in, and confirm you are viewing the same account that opened the billing portal.

If the portal shows the change but Atlas does not, capture the account email, the action you took, and the portal status before contacting support.

Troubleshooting

ProblemWhat to do

Upgrade appears successful but limits still applyRefresh Atlas, check the account email, and wait briefly for billing state to sync.
You cannot find an invoiceOpen the billing history area in the portal for the account that paid for Atlas.
