Mobile app
Atlas is responsive, so the same account and projects can be used across screen sizes. Mobile is best for review, capture, and focused questions. Desktop is better for dense research work.
Best mobile workflows
- read a short source or note
- ask a focused question
- check a summary
- capture a finding
- review citations
- manage lightweight account tasks.
Desktop-preferred workflows
- reading long PDFs
- comparing a source, note, and chat side by side
- editing large knowledge maps
- managing many project sources
- reviewing citation chains carefully
- doing long synthesis sessions.
Responsive behavior
On smaller screens, Atlas may collapse panels, hide secondary controls, or prioritize one surface at a time. This keeps the app usable but reduces comparison space.
If you cannot find a control on mobile, check the current panel menu, toolbar, or navigation drawer before assuming the feature is unavailable.
Practical limits
| Task | Recommended surface |
|---|---|
| Quick chat | Mobile or desktop. |
| Long PDF reading | Desktop. |
| Knowledge map editing | Desktop. |
| Note capture | Mobile or desktop. |
| Source importing | Desktop for large files. Mobile for simple links or small files. |
| Billing/account settings | Desktop if the portal or browser blocks popups on mobile. |
